ART VS SCIENCE * RIGHT VS WRONG   * 

GOOD VS BAD    *   LIFE VS DEATH *

STRENGTH VS MALLEABILITY

The way I see it, the practice of medicine is an art form. As a physician you must think outside the box, as believing in absolutes can prove to be deadly.

In the same sense, the creation of art can be healing.  This is so, whether you are behind the brush or standing in front of a creation.

It is the unquestioned assumed dichotomies that keep us the most divided. The toxic implied simplicity of ignorance. 

My art is intended to create a visual representation of topics at the core of the human experience. My goal is to elicit a visceral response in the viewer in hopes of facilitating the experience of empathy and understanding related to another persons’ reality.
